I ordered dinner today while at my second job from a local Chinese restaurant. After managing to complete my meal in between radio traffic and phone calls, I make it to the fortune cookie! I always look forward to the humorous ancient Chinese wisdom bestowed upon us customers through the knowledge cookie. Todays wisdom was "Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes."
This ancient Chinese secret really hit home with me. Life will continue to go on regardless of how we act. It means that even when we may think things are at its worse and we don't feel as if it will continue, it will. We can choose to live it with regrets or we can make the most out of the situations we face. Events will continue to transpire we can only control how we respond to them.
I for one have recently decided not to live a life of regrets but to follow my instincts and if it turns out to be the wrong decision to simply look at it as a lesson learned and an adventure experienced.
